9th Annual Bill J. Dukes 7@7 Run

This year Toray Composite Materials America, Inc. (CMA) was a Gold level sponsor for the Bill J. Dukes 7@7 trail run at Point Mallard Park in Decatur, AL. CMA sponsored five runners from different departments to patriciate in the 7k race that started at 7am.

Bill Dukes was the top elected official of Decatur for many years and he was known by citizens of Decatur as Mr. Mayor.  He was an advocate for many programs and services for the community including the Friendship House, Operation Santa Claus, Depression Support Group, May Mental Health projects, Alzheimer’s program, and the Rape Response Advocacy program.  The race was a fund raiser to help continue his legacy and support for these important local causes.

Next year will be the 10th anniversary of the 7@7 and we hope to be able to participate in this important community event again.
