Career Fair for US Veterans at Decatur Plant

The transition from the US military to civilian life can be a huge challenge for US veterans. Similarly, for spouses and other family members of US military service men and women, securing employment that works well with the details of the life of military families can be challenging.

CMA follows equal opportunity laws that protect veterans from discrimination and also requires affirmative action for future employers to employ qualified veterans. For all of these reasons and others, CMA participated in the Your Next Mission® Career Fair. This event helped US military veterans, and their families find employment in the North Alabama area. The event was hosted by the American Freedom Foundation and was held at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville on August 9th, 2023. Three CMA members represented Toray at the Career Fair.

The Career Fair was co-located with the Space & Missile Defense (SMD) Symposium which included organizations from across the aerospace and US Defense markets, such as NASA, US Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC), Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, L3 Harris/Aerojet Rocketdyne, General Dynamics, etc. CMA’s participation at the Career Fair was also a good opportunity to showcase Toray’s brand in this important market space and in the North Alabama geographical area.
