Spartanburg Plant Sponsors Annual Aerospace Night at Minor League Baseball Game
On August 10th, CMA Spartanburg Plant sponsored the annual South Carolina Aerospace night at the Greenville Drive baseball game.
This event put the aerospace industry on display, boosting recognition for the opportunities that exist in South Carolina. The event included a pre-game leader’s reception, concourse displays, and in-game entertainment, all centering on the leading aerospace businesses in the state.
It was a wonderful celebration across all aspects of the programming with engagement from all of the participating companies, leaders and area students. Nearly 500 K-12 students attended and over 100 industry leaders participated in the event. It spoke to the tangible momentum surrounding the Aerospace industry in our community.
As the Greenville Drive competed against Greensboro Grasshoppers on an extremely close game, CMA Spartanburg members enjoyed a fun night introducing our families to each other outside of the plant. Not only that, but the members directly witnessed what key role we play in educating the community about our wonderful company.
As cheers, cries and laughter spurred across the field throughout the evening, we sensed a warm gratitude amongst ourselves; to be supported by such great community partners like the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness. The resources the council provided helped our plant thrive in this growing market. We look forward to further opportunities we can contribute to the home base we all love and share.
