Technology Award from SAMPE Japan

On July 25, 2019, the Society for Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE) Japan, under SAMPE Global, held an annual ceremony at Tokyo University. Dr. Yuzo Fujita, Manager of Technical Service, received a technology award for development of ET40. The ET40 is a version of prepreg in which short fibers are indirectly aligned, achieving both high mechanical properties and formability. The technology award is one of the most honorable awards in the composite material field in Japan. This award is esteemed very highly by this group whose development is expected to contribute to the expansion of composite materials in our society.

While working in the US, one of Dr. Fujita’s responsibilities is to promote the ET40 technology, utilizing CMA fiber and prepreg products.
