Toray CMA Spartanburg Plant, South Carolina Manufacturing Day
CMA Spartanburg Plant participated in an event for high school students October 2nd and 3rd. The event was called South Carolina Manufacturing Day, and the purpose of the event was to educate local high school students on the many manufacturing jobs available in the area, and discuss with them what skill sets companies like Toray look for when hiring new employees. More than 5,000 students from 10 different high schools participated in the event, and more than 20 local companies had booths and interacted with the students. This is an annual event, and this was the 4th year the event was held. We had many students visit our booth and as a special guest, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster attended the event and stopped by the CMA booth. He asked many good questions about our Spartanburg products, business and customers. This event is a great opportunity for Toray to be recognized by our community and our local students. We are looking forward to participating this annual event in the future.
