CMA Celebrates Earth Day, Every Day!

CMA is proud of our achievements that support the global environmental preservation vision and to celebrate it, we held our annual Earth Day event on April 22, 2021. At the event, we handed out cookies, stickers, and flower seed packets, along with a drawing for employees to win a carbon fiber skateboard and more. Over 80 employees entered by submitting an “environmental commitment.”

CMA prides itself on recycling more waste out of its factory every year. As an ISO 14001 certified company, we are constantly striving to prevent pollution and waste, as well as find areas that can be improved within the process.

At CMA, we use large rolls of release paper which we reuse within our prepreg production process multiple times and then sell for use in other various applications. Last year we sold over two million pounds of paper.

Additionally, CMA’s on-site solvent distillation has achieved an 85% reduction in annual hazardous waste generation. We now proudly have this recycling process on site, eliminating cost through treatment, storage, disposal facility (TSDF), minimizing risk of transportation, and decreasing our total waste generated.
