Decatur Plant Participates in 11th Annual Barrels of Love Food Drive

On March 3rd, Decatur plant participated in the 11th Annual Barrels of Love, a non-perishable food drive sponsored by Morgan County Industrials. Decatur plant is a proud member, and this year Decatur team collected 3,822 of non-perishable food items.

Typically, each year the local food banks run low after the holidays and the Barrels of Love program helps to restock the food banks. Combined with the community collected non-perishable food items would go to a good cause to help those in need to support the following Morgan County Agencies; Committee on Church Cooperation (CCC), Salvation Army, Backpack Programs for the School Systems (Morgan County Schools and Decatur City Schools).

This year our team’s focus was 941 students in the Backpack Program which requested items that children can prepare by themselves especially during spring break.
We are always thankful to our Decatur team for being there for their community and stepping up to support others.
