Holiday Giving Campaigns started across CMA
At the Tacoma plant, we finished the seasonal event “Giving Tree” Campaign. Partnering with the Bethel School District, CMA Tacoma received 48 tags, each tag listing both the needs and wishes of children in need. Thanks to Tacoma plant’s generous employees, we were able to fulfil all the needs and wishes of the children this year. Thank you to the 30 employees who donated over 230 gifts to the 48 children in Bethel School District this 2023 holiday season.
For the Decatur plant, employees annually partnered up with the local non-profit organization Families And Children Experiencing Separation of Morgan County (F.A.C.E.S.). This year we sponsored 8 children (4 boys and 4 girls) with toys and clothing from head to toe. We received the children’s Christmas wish lists from FACES and turned them into 88 wish cards. Individually or in teams, employees choose wish cards, purchased gifts, and donate to donation boxes to help make big wishes come true. For example, Process Engineering Group (PEG) members pooled their money to grant an 8-year-old girl’s wish for a Nintendo Switch. Thank you, Decatur employees, for supporting F.A.C.E.S. of Morgan County. Your generosity and spirit of giving will light up the room for many children in our community on Christmas morning!
In the Spartanburg plant, employees participated in the Angel Tree Program this year. This was our second year to partner with The Salvation Army of Spartanburg. Even though it was within a month after the Fall Food Drive, we received many generous donations. We originally adopted 14 angels, but the total donation surpassed the initial goal, adopting two more angels. The items on the angel tags vary from diapers to L.O.L. Dolls. This time, The Salvation Army of Spartanburg assisted 600 families with over 1600 children. We are happy to contribute to our community. Thank you to our incredible employees who participated in the Angel Tree Program. Our generosity has brought significant impact, bringing joy and hope to those in need during this special time of the year.
