Ancillary Products

Toray CMA has several ancillary products available for use with prepreg:

E-09 Tackifier Ancillary Product

• Shipped as 1L bottles of resin, user solvates prior to use.
• Compatible with all 350°F curing resin systems.
• Can be applied to tooling of all types to improve first ply adhesion to the surface.
• Works well for both complex tools and radii in hand layup as well as low tack material used in AFP.
• Can be applied on top of tool release agents.

F-01 Tackifier Film Ancillary Product

• 927mm wide resin film, no solvent needed for use.
• Quick to apply, works best for large tools with minimal curvature.
• Compatible with all 350°F curing resin systems.

Same Qualified Resin Transfer Molding (SQRTM)

• SQRTM is a resin transfer molding (RTM) process where prepreg charges are placed into closed molds and injected with additional resin during cure to ensure a net-shape part.
• CMA’s SQRTM resin has been formulated to be compatible with all 350°F curing resin systems.

Peel Ply Ancillary Product

• Peel ply can be applied to the outer layer of a laminate before curing, cured, and removed to provide a roughened surface that allows for better mechanical adhesion during bonding.
• A variety of fabrics are available with multiple resin systems to complement our resin systems.

Surfacing Materials

• Scrims, corrosion barrier plies, lightning strike protection, and other surfacing materials are available for all resin systems. Contact Sales for details.
