Spartanburg Plant Receives Special Recognition Award from the United Way of the Piedmont
As a result of Spartanburg Plant’s successful United Way campaigns, our site was recognized with the New Business Partner of the Year award. On May 9th, United Way hosted their annual Corporate & Community Leaders Breakfast that was attended by over 100 local leaders from Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties. This event serves as a platform to celebrate and honor United Way’s partner companies and organizations who help support initiatives that lead to transformative change within our communities.
Paige Stephenson, United Way of the Piedmont’s President & CEO, started the event with earnest appreciation for each United Way partner. “By supporting United Way,” Stephenson shared, “you have the power to change lives, break cycles, and uplift our whole community. Today, we celebrate those who have shown exceptional commitment to this cause.”
We are honored to receive the New Business Partner of the Year award in recognition of the generosity of our employees at the Spartanburg Plant. Amanda Richardson, United Way of the Piedmont’s Vice President, closed the event by saying, “United Way is here with you. We are here to connect employers to their employees and to the community, to connect people who want to make a difference to the needs of our community, and to connect people who need help to the resources they need.”
