Toray Group of Companies to Promote Advanced Materials at the Battery Show and EV/HEV Expo

Toray Group, the leading global company in innovative technologies and advanced high-performance materials, announces its participation in the upcoming Battery Show and Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo 2022 in Novi, Michigan on September 13 – 15. The Toray group of companies in North America will be at booth 936 showcasing the latest material advancements for the automotive industry.

The Battery Show and EV/HEV Expo provides a forum for business leaders, engineers and material suppliers to address the needs of the automotive market and identify optimal technologies to support continued growth in the Automotive EV sector. Visitors to the Toray booth will see material in the areas of weight reduction, powertrains/electrification, safety and comfort. Toray’s products for the battery, EV and HEV market range from synthetic fibers, carbon fibers, and resins to films, electronics and information processing device materials.

The nano-multilayer film PICASUS™ for the windshield and sunroof will be among the Toray products that will be featured at the booth. Other available material samples include thermoset and thermoplastic epoxy carbon fiber prepreg systems, PPS film for motors, electrical and electronic components, carbon paper for fuel cells, carbonized fabric, and Teflon™ for energy storage, PBT compounds, and CFRP for battery structures.
