Toray Group to Showcase Latest Innovations at NPE 2024 in Orlando this Spring
The Toray Group is proud to announce its participation in NPE 2024. The US Toray Group divisions will exhibit their cutting-edge engineering plastics, fibers, and continuous composites solutions from May 6th to 10th in Orlando, Florida.
NPE 2024, also known as the National Plastics Event, stands out as the world’s largest conference in the plastic industry, where leaders and visionary engineers from various sectors exchange ideas and showcase the latest technological advancements within the global plastics industry.
The Toray Group invites show attendees to explore the groundbreaking solutions to material challenges worldwide that pave the path forward to a circular economy for all at booth S31195.
Materials Change Our Lives
The Toray Group remains fully committed to changing lives worldwide by engineering proven and groundbreaking solutions to life’s challenges using advanced materials technology. At NPE 2024, the Toray Group, which comprises multiple divisions, will showcase a broad range of synthetic fibers, engineering plastics, performance chemicals, ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis membranes, and continuous carbon fiber materials solutions, all of which contribute to supporting our evolving global society.
Next-Gen EV Mobility Thermal Management
Toray Resin (TREC ) and Toray Resin Mexico (TRMX) will showcase the latest developments in TORELINA™ PPS technology, used in various materials for thermal management and cooling applications within the demanding next-generation electric vehicle (EV) industry where lightweighting and performance improvement can dramatically extend EV automotive performance.
TORELINA™ PPS technology is an essential component in the evolution of the automotive sector towards more efficient, safer, and environmentally friendly electric vehicles. Its versatility and advanced capabilities make it a preferred choice for thermal management, emission reduction, and safety applications in the future automotive industry.
Toray Industries, Inc. will display 3D printed parts made by Toraymill™ PPS. Using a unique polymer design technology, this PPS powder was developed for Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) to provide a high performance plastic with electrical characteristics, high strength, rigidity, heat resistance, chemical resistance, low water absorption, flame retardance, etc. which are tailored for the needs of not only ICE but also next-generation (EV and FCV) vehicles, robotics, industrial equipment and aerospace etc. for functional prototype and end-use parts.
High-Performance Infrastructure
Toray Fluorofibers America (TFA) will present Matrix-Spun PTFE flock fibers as an ideal solution for infrastructure applications. Compounding them into thermoplastics and thermosetting resins provides superior low wear and low friction. Flock fibers can be mixed with wet-laid structures for a range of applications. A variety of different cut lengths and denier sizes also offer flexible solutions for a multitude of friction issues.
Green Energy Storage
Toray Composite Materials America (CMA) will feature a hydrogen tank manufactured with next-gen TORAYCA™ T1100 carbon fiber used to produce the lightest possible vessel with the ability to withstand the highest pressure for renewable energy storage solutions. TORAYCA™ carbon fiber is globally recognized for its outstanding performance, quality, and consistency in processing for high-performance cutting-edge applications ranging from energy, aerospace, sports, automotive, and transportation.
Sports and Recreation
Toray Advanced Composites USA (TACUS) will display a high-performance mountain bike produced with Toray Cetex® TC910 PA6, a complementing material to the recently announced Toray Cetex® TC915 PA+, a strengthened polyamide for high-performance applications such as sporting goods and energy (oil & gas, Hydrogen), automotive, Urban Air Mobility (UAM), and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis Membrane Technology
Toray Membrane USA (TMUS) will display a state-of-the-art Toray Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane for water treatment that removes dissolved solids from water. RO membranes are used worldwide in many applications including pharma, automobile, dairy, food and beverage processing, and ultrapure processes. Water purified by Reverse Osmosis membranes for paint production is also standard in the automotive industry, and TMUS can provide silicone-free solutions when requested.
